Hemispheric Dominance

Another interesting take on our visual system might be how hemispheric dominance affects individuals. Scientists have explored theories about the two hemispheres of the brain and the ways that they differ in function and control of the body. According to recent research, people who are right brain dominant and those who are left brain dominant process information and respond in different ways. Have you ever taken a "right left brain test"? They are pretty common in psychology courses, but I have attached one in case any of you are interested. In these tests it asks a variety of questions, and given your responses it determines if your left or right hemisphere is dominant. It is suggested that right-brain dominant people are guided by the more emotional, intuitive right hemisphere while left-brain people respond in sequential, logical ways, guided by the left hemisphere.  After taking the test, I was deemed left hemisphere dominance. I encourage you to take the quiz and see if you are right brain or left brain dominant, and if that matches your personality type.
